Good governance

Accountable governance

UNDP promotes participatory, transparent and accountable governance and considers good governance to be central to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. Our interventions in Tajikistan focus mainly on building capacity of government stakeholders and reinforcing national and local level institutions. UNDP has been concentrating its efforts on supporting the government’s initiatives in ensuring effective governance to enhance public service delivery, better protection of rights, deepening of democratic reforms, and supporting civil society organizations.

Our projects are closely aligned with the country’s National Development Strategy for 2016-2030.
