A new user-centered website launched to guide people through civil registration service processes in Tajikistan

September 20, 2021

Dushanbe, 20 September 2021 – The website of the Civil Registration Department of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Tajikistan was updated and launched to mark the 30th Anniversary of Tajikistan’s Independence with the technical and financial support of UNDP and the Swiss Cooperation Office within the framework of the UNDP project “Civil Registration System Reform in Tajikistan".

The web platform for the Civil Registration Department is an essential tool for improving access to information and direct communication with the population.

Initially offered as response to COVID-19 pandemic, the user-friendly interface of the new website is designed to reduce citizen’s need for in-person visits to civil registration offices by offering viable solutions and step-by-step guide on the procedures online.

People can access essential information related to civil registration, such as the types of services available, lists and samples of documents required for a specific service, fees, working hours, and contact details of all CR offices across the country.

The website will also provide first-hand information about the system’s legislative changes and mobile registration sessions for vulnerable groups, when civil registration servers go to remote areas to provide services on spot.

UNDP will continue to support the Civil Registration Department of the Ministry of Justice in designing innovative products to improve the service delivery, business processes and increase the number of timely registrations across the country.
